The Center for Buddhist Studies at the University of Hamburg strives to strengthen and improve the field of Buddhist Studies.
For this purpose, the Center continually maintains a dialogue with other academic disciplines. At the same time, it strives to open access to Buddhist traditions and builds up dialogue with its representatives. This concept and these activities make the Center unique in Germany.
